Fishing and Boat Launch

Fishing options abound at Hopper's Landing. Boat launch fee is only $5 (fee payment box conveniently located at the ramp); parking your vehicle and trailer is free; and there is no charge for fishing along the beach. When you are all done, come in to the main building at the top of the hill and have a cold drink and snack. Share your fishing experience with Nada. 

At the current time, we do not have bait for sale, so be sure to bring an ample supply. We do have ice available, in case you run short on a hot day. 

You can launch your own inboard/outboard boat and fish many popular sports in San Antonio Bay, just ask Carlton or Nada where the fish are biting. They have navigation maps and can show you where the popular fishing spots are. (Click the picture at the left for a larger view)

Or you can walk along the public access beach and fish from the beach or wade fish. The water is shallow and always warm. (Click the picture at the left for a larger view)

After a successful day fishing, use the fish cleaning table located close to the boat launch. There is no charge to use this facility, we just ask that you turn off the light and water when you are done, and clean up after yourself. Please don't leave fishy remains behind.
